- With the introduction of Talent, AstroLabs Academy becomes the region's only end-to-end digital skills training platform with integrated alumni recruiting services in the region
Dubai, UAE—AstroLabs today announced the launch of AstroLabs Talent, a full-suite solution for recruiting and upskilling digital teams in the MENA region. The newly launched recruiting service benefits from the existing deep network of highly qualified digital professionals AstroLabs has built while developing the region's tech ecosystem, connecting this unrivaled pool of top talent to clients growing their teams.
With the introduction of Talent, AstroLabs now offers all its Academy alumni—over 4,000 strong and growing rapidly every month—with recruiting support, thereby enhancing the value of its digital training courses. AstroLabs Academy is now the only end-to-end digital skills training platform with integrated alumni recruiting in the region.
Since 2013, AstroLabs has trained thousands of people through its specialized capability building academy and enabled hundreds of startups from around the world to scale up at its coworking communities in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. This marks the first time in the MENA region that a tech ecosystem builder with such a targeted talent pool launches an industry-leading recruiting offering.
The AstroLabs Talent team is led by Danielle Blizzard, a digital recruiting expert with over a decade of experience placing candidates in roles spanning from performance marketing to data science at clients like Emirates, Noon and Careem.
"There has never been a better time to launch a digital-focused recruitment service, especially built on the deep talent pool at AstroLabs. According to LinkedIn, the UAE experienced a 66% increase in tech job postings in Q2 2020, with the growth trend continuing. We are already working with many top brands to support their digital transformations and look forward to expanding our impact," said Danielle Blizzard, Director of Talent Services at AstroLabs.
AstroLabs Talent works with large enterprises like TikTok and scaling local tech startups such as Rain, the Gulf region's first licensed cryptocurrency exchange, and Dubai-based fintech company Mamo Pay.
"The team at AstroLabs Talent has helped us source top candidates from around the world for specialized technical roles while ensuring that shortlisted applicants fit our unique company culture," said Mohammad El Saadi, Co-Founder and CEO of Mamo Pay.
AstroLabs is part of the global Google for Startups network, with direct access to 50+ partners supporting 45,000 startups across 125 countries. In addition, AstroLabs runs the most active tech and digital meetup groups in the region, with over 20,000 registered professionals. AstroLabs Talent leverages these unique networks to source top candidates from around the world.
AstroLabs Talent supports all hiring requirements at high-growth companies with a particular focus on the following practice areas: eCommerce, tech & development, digital marketing, product management, data & analytics, and new market entry.
In addition to the recruiting service, AstroLabs Talent offers large organizations specialized training courses to enhance team performance and digital literacy in collaboration with AstroLabs Academy. Topics include how to recruit and retain top talent, effective organization design strategies for digital, and building high-performance teams.
