Amman:- Under the Patronage of His Excellency The Minister of Labor, Mr. Samir S. Murad, Akhtaboot - the career network (www.akhtaboot.com) is proud to announce that it will be holding its annual career event “Akhtaboot’s 9th Job Fair 2018” - Jordan’s biggest career event - on Wednesday and Thursday, 26th and 27th of September 2018 at Amman Grand Hall, Al Hussein Youth City (Gate 1).

“Akhtaboot’s 9th Job Fair 2018” will be launched with the support of the Ministry of Labor and the European Union as “Strategic Partners” and will feature a number of leading Jordanian and international companies offering more than 1,000 employment opportunities covering a wide range of sectors and job roles - which can be accessed on jobfair.akhtaboot.com.

Responding to the evolving labor market needs to increase access for job seekers to technical and vocational career opportunities; Akhtaboot’s 9th Job Fair will feature a section for vocational jobs – powered by the Ministry of Labor and EU - with the aim of increasing youth employment in the vocational sector, while boosting the labor market and wider national economy. Additionally, Akhtaboot’s 9th Job Fair has a special focus on the inclusion of women and people living with disabilities into the Jordanian labor market.

Mr. Yousef Shamoun, CEO and Cofounder of Akhtaboot said:  “The launch of the 9th edition of Akhtaboot’s annual job fair is not only a key achievement for us, but it has also provided us with an excellent opportunity to re-think how our recruitment initiatives can be more inclusive of both women and persons living with disabilities. Creating a more inclusive labor market is critical if companies want to enlarge and enrich their talent pool.”

Shamoun added: “Together with The Ministry of Labor and the European Union as our Strategic Partners, we will be able to take firm steps to promote technical and vocational education as a career option and as a vital part of the process of developing our country.”

It’s worth mentioning that free courses on various career advancement topics will be provided by the Ministry of Labor on both days of the job fair, including CV writing, interview skills, employment rights and much more.
