With Doha added, Middle East Cardmembers have free access to 10 regional airport lounges, Travel is among top three areas of spend of American Express Cardmembers
Dubai, April 8, 2008: As part of its exclusive offerings, American Express Middle East has now facilitated complimentary access for its Cardmembers to Doha International Airport's Oryx Business Lounge. This was enabled following a recent agreement signed between American Express and Qatar Aviation Services.
The airport lounge access is available to American Express Basic and Supplementary Cardmembers of the Middle East-issued Platinum Card®, American Express® Gold Card, American Express® Gold Credit Card and the American Express® Corporate Card.
Premal Patel, Senior Director - Marketing for American Express Middle East and North Africa, said: "With travel being among the top three areas of spend for our elite Cardmember base, exclusive services such as the airport lounge access is of high significance. So far, our regional Cardmembers have enjoyed free access to airport lounges in other parts of the Middle East and with the addition of Doha Airport's Oryx Lounge; this is now a full fledged regional offering."
American Express Cardmembers are also welcome in select business lounges in Bahrain, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and now Qatar.
