The College of Medicine of AMA International University Bahrain has recently been recognized and listed by the Avicenna Directories for Medicine as one of the Medical Schools here in Bahrain.
The AVICENNA Directories, in conjunction with the World Health Organization (WHO), aims is to provide up-to-date and reliable information on institutions that educate health professionals to all who are interested - policy-makers at national and international level; authorities responsible for licenses to practice; teachers and schools; and students seeking to identify a suitable quality programme.
The Avicenna Directory provides information about education institutions for health professionals and their programmes which are of general worldwide interest. The information it gathers is useful as a tool in quality assurance; it will be a valuable tool for those registration agencies, that are responsible for licensing to practice in a health profession; it will be an instrument to promote international collaborations; it will provide information for potential students or staff wishing to learn about an individual school or faculty or about all schools in a particular country; and a reliable and comprehensive database will be a powerful research tool and an instrument for networking between schools.
With the inclusion of the AMAIUB College of Medicine with the Avicenna Directory of WHO-recognized medical schools, AMAIUB is now recognized as one of the institutions in Bahrain providing world class medical education for future doctors.
