Innovative leading oilfield services provider, AlMansoori Specialized Engineering, is to launch its first revolutionary light weight air-conditioned offshore slickline units at a special event to be held in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday (September 27).
More than 100 senior representatives from the international oil and gas industry are expected to attend the inauguration of the three units at the company's Mussafa base yard at 2pm.
Specially created in aluminium and weighing less than 3,000 lbs, the two-man units are the first in the world to be portable by helicopter and are air-conditioned. They were custom-designed and built in Abu Dhabi by Lee Specialties Middle East.
The containerised units, which have a Zone 2 fire safety rating, have been commissioned by Total for the ABK oilfield offshore UAE but are attracting interest from other companies globally.
Ahmad Jaber, general manager of AlMansoori Wireline Services, a subsidiary of AlMansoori Specialized Engineering, said: "We believe we have created a product which will have a major impact on the oil and gas industry, providing a fast and flexible response to client needs and improving working conditions.
