Retail News Middle East 2007 Award for ASD
For the second consecutive year, Al Safi Danone won the best dairy company award. More than 250 professionals involved in the FMCG market attended the event, which took place at the Fairmont Dubai, UAE. It was organized by Retail News Middle East and sponsored by Aujan industries.
Al Safi Danone has been recognized for its innovative products in the value added dairy market, such as Activia, which contains a natural probiotic culture that can help regulate digestive system, and Actimel; which strengthens natural defenses and immunity system. Other judging criteria included the company's overall achievements, sales, distribution, and services.
Five additional business awards recognized the achievements of companies across the wider FMCG field of retailing and distribution, with categories including best marketing strategy of the year, best distributor of the year, best food producer of the year and best innovation of the year.
Mr. Karim Manssour Dahbi, general manager of Al Safi Danone, commented:
