Organisers expect 160 exhibitors and over 2,500 visitors

Dubai, UAE. 24 January 2012 - With less than two weeks until the Aircraft Interiors and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul ME shows open on 31 January - 2 February, organisers F&E Aerospace and Aviation Week are predicting high levels of interest with more than 2,500 trade visitors expected to attend.

The Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO Middle East) event features an interesting agenda commencing on 31 January with a seminar devoted to the workforce and training in the Middle East. The seminar has the backing of a strong advisory board including Bernhard Randerath, VP Engineering, Etihad Airways and Amir Ali, Chief Engineering, PIA Engineering. Whilst the subsequent two day conference features a keynote address from Abdul Wahab Teffaha, Secretary General of AACO - Arab Air carriers organisation who will address 'the State of the Air Transport Industry in the Region.'

The third running of AIME will take place alongside the MRO Middle East exhibition and opens on 1 February. The region has seen a substantial increase in demand for aircraft and this in turn is creating a demand for aircraft interiors. A recent market insight report by Frost & Sullivan highlighted "the Middle Eastern, Chinese and Indian markets will together comprise 27.3% of global demand for cabin interiors by 2020" in comparison to "Western Europe and North America who are gradually losing their positions as the most important cabin interior markets."

MRO Middle East and AIME will attract over 195 representatives from approximately 50 Middle East and Indian subcontinent airlines including Etihad, Gulf Air, Kingfisher Airlines, Shaheen Air and Royal Jordanian. The key importance of events such as these is the time the exhibitors have to network with current and potential customers helping to build relationships and understand the Middle East Market.

Michele Van Akelijen, Aerospace Director, at F&E Aerospace, said: "The demand for innovative aircraft interiors and maintenance, repair and overhaul services has grown in line with the region's carriers increase in size underlining the need for these events in the Middle East region.  Both shows provide a strong platform for key industry figures to come together over three days in Dubai.
