* Aggreko named sole sponsor of the Referees and Touch Judges

* Agreement between Aggreko and Singapore rugby associations to continue for three years

Singapore - Aggreko plc, global leader in providing temporary power generation and temperature control services, has entered into a landmark agreement with Singapore Rugby Union and Singapore Society of Rugby Union Referees, whereby Aggreko will be the sole sponsor of the Referees and Touch Judges during the Singapore Rugby 7s tournaments in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Aggreko has been the official supplier of temporary power for the Dubai Rugby 7s for the past six years and is also a host sponsor for the tournament officials and cheerleading team. Aggreko's involvement with the Singapore Rugby 7s signals the company's commitment to supporting the Rugby 7s and underscores the company's steady, global expansion.

"Over the years Aggreko has charted a firm path towards global expansion, marking itself as a world leader in the field of temporary power generation and temperature control. Aggreko's keen interest in local and international sport and rugby in particular led us to become involved in the Dubai Rugby 7s six years ago.

The Dubai Rugby 7s has proved to be an extremely positive experience for us and our hope is to have a similar success with the Singapore leg of the tournament," said Ian Rogers, Managing Director, Aggreko Asia.

The Singapore Rugby 7s, taking place April 16 and 17, 2005, is part of the IRB Sevens World Series.  A truly international sports event, the Series involves 16 nations and is staged in a host of different countries including South Africa, England, Hong Kong and New Zealand.

The Referees and Touch Judges at the Singapore Rugby 7s will be outfitted in Aggreko branded rugby shirts.

Since the establishment of the Singapore base in 1989, the office has been responsible for generating many new contracts for the company in Asia. Singapore office serves both local and regional markets as the strategic hub for Aggreko's business development and growth in Far East Asia.
