Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a leading financial institution, has been named Best Sharia’a Savings Account Provider of the Year at the second annual Yallacompare awards ceremony. The winners were selected based on customer votes through an online survey run by Yallacompare.
Yallacompare is one of the leading finance sites in the Middle East. It helps users find and compare credit cards, personal loans, mortgages, car loans, insurance and bank accounts from a wide range of local and international banks and financial institutions. The platform is currently operating in nine countries, including the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Oman and Jordan.

The Ghina Savings Account has been one of ADIB’s most popular accounts since it launched in 2009 with more than AED 100 million awarded to customers since inception. In 2017, ADIB awarded over AED 10 million to customers, including three grand prize draws, in which the winners each received AED 3 million. Throughout 2018, the bank will make three grand prize draws, while another 120 Ghina Savings customers will each receive AED 10,000 during monthly draws. ADIB’s Ghina Savings Account has a number of unique features, including entry into cash prizes draws, while permitting customers to withdraw savings at any time with no extra charges or penalties. ADIB also offer other saving products such as Children Banoon Savings and Youth Savings product with free AIESEC card.
In 2017, the bank launched its MoneySmart community which is open to anyone and is designed to be highly interactive. The website hosts articles, blogs, tips and comments from users on savings, who can receive cashable reward points for their input. Independent experts are also on hand to provide their knowledge and objective advice.
ADIB has received numerous awards in recent months including ‘Best Premium Banking Service in the UAE’ from Banker Middle East, and ‘Private Bank in the Middle East for Islamic Finance’ by Private Banker International. In addition, the bank was recently awarded with the ‘Best Online Banking Services’ award at Banker Middle East UAE Product Awards 2017.
