Exhibition showcasing Saxon art of watchmaking taking place for second time in the Middle East
Internationally acclaimed horological pioneers A. Lange & Söhne will once again be showcasing its engineering excellence, mechanical ingenuity and artisanal dedication in the brand's second Middle East watchmaking exhibition, titled 'Unmatched Craftsmanship', in partnership with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons. The exhibition will take place at the Dubai Mall Atrium from 5th to 11th October 2011 and will offer visitors the opportunity to discover the precise elements of craftsmanship involved in the creation of each and every A. Lange & Söhne timepiece.
Following on from their success of 2010, A. Lange & Söhne is creating an interactive platform whereby visitors can gain captivating insights into the realm of precision watchmaking. Three different crafts will be performed by a master engraver, watchmaker and finishing specialist from the German manufactory, to highlight the techniques that drive the brand to the pinnacle of modern performance watchmaking. Visitors will be offered an educational and inspirational experience outlining A. Lange & Söhne's deep-rooted Saxon history and distinguishing values of excellence.

Showcased during the exhibition will be the new and elegant Saxonia collection, redefined with a contemporary vision whilst remaining true to the collection's pioneering technical spirit and understated luxury appeal. The Saxonia Automatic with a newly developed self-winding movement, the Saxonia Dual Time displaying both home time and a second timezone, and the Saxonia Thin, the flattest timepiece crafted so far by Lange watchmakers will be displayed, amongst others.
The A. Lange & Söhne brand ethos centres on performance in precision watchmaking and unmatched craftsmanship in the making. Only a handful of fine mechanical watches are crafted each year, with a vision for classical elegance, timeless designs and inimitable finishing. The lengthy manufacturing process comprises the very best in artisanal skills, with each piece of the movement assembled twice and decorated by hand with a meticulously applied surface finish, and free-hand engraving of the balance cock that turns each Lange watch into a one-of-a-kind treasure.
