Organisers Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) announced that as many as 20 IT companies have reserved sessions for seminars and presentations at GITEX 2003 confirming the importance of the GITEX Technical Seminars that are being reintroduced during this year’s event.
 
“As many as 20 leading exhibitors including Winsoft, Inmarsat, NEC Computers International, Al Futtaim Telecom, Dell, SAP Arabia and Nilesoft among others have confirmed bookings for technical seminars and presentations,” said DWTC Director General, Mubarak bin Fahad.
 
He noted that entry to most of the seminars will be free however, for some sessions, entry will be by invitation only and these invites will be distributed by the exhibitors themselves.
 
Subjects to be discussed during the seminars and presentations will include IT infrastructure, content filtering, expanding web capabilities, contact center solutions, new era in video communications, content management systems, web conferencing, software compliance, broadband Internet connectivity, IP solutions, customer relationship management and supply chain management among others.
 
“We are dedicated to meeting, and exceeding, our visitor’s specifications and expectations and are focused on enhancing GITEX’s profile by providing delegates with continuing education on emerging technology and are delighted that several exhibitors have come forward to conduct presentations,” Mr. bin Fahad added.
 
The seminars will take place on all five-days of the show and two rooms above halls five and six have been reserved all through the five days to stage presentations and seminars. Both the rooms hold a maximum of 50 delegates and are fully equipped with an LCD projector, slide projector and overhead projector and are being setup with theatre-style seating and a head table.
 
GITEX 2003 will showcase an entire range of IT related products and services with a significant focus on e-business and e-commerce solutions. Other products include uninterrupted power supply solutions, desktop publishing, digital imaging & information management Internet products, mobile computing & WAP technology, networking & business communication, office automation, computer hardware and many others.
 
While the main exhibition is focused largely on trade professionals, consumers looking to purchase computer equipment and electronic gadgetry can do so at the GITEX Computer Shopper, that takes place at Airport Expo Dubai between 18th and 24th of October 2003. GITEX Computer Shopper, the retail component of GITEX, targets those seeking to purchase equipment for their personal use.
