Dubai : H.E Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Minister of Economy, Chairman of the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology, “ESMA”, has honored 16 conformity certificates for major companies for vehicles repair and maintenance services, vehicle repair workshops, according to the
UAE system for requirements of repair facilities and vehicle service centers, on the sidelines of the Supreme Committee for Consumer Protection meeting. In Dubai.
The Emirates Transport, Dubai Government Workshop, Al-Futtaim Motors (8 workshops in various locations nationwide), the Arabian Automobiles Co. H.E Abdullah Al-Maeeni, ESMA Director General, considered that the project is considered a qualitative shift in the services provided to consumers in the UAE, in addition to that it preserves consumer rights It also supports the orientations of the UAE government in achieving fair access to services.
As it is also a civilized project that has been extensively studied by ESMA and the Supreme Committee for Consumer Protection, in order to establish a structured, practical and fair framework for the quality of vehicle repair workshops in the UAE.
He stressed that the introduction of this system would ensure fair access to the service for consumers, and ensure that the quality of service provision is raised, in a manner that achieves the principle of providing integrated information to consumers.
