Cairo – Egypt Aluminum posted a hike in net profit after tax to EGP 1.70 billion during the first half (H1) of fiscal year (FY) 2022/2023, compared to EGP 814.15 million in H1-21/22.

Earnings per share (EPS) increased to EGP 2.40 in H1-22/23 from EGP 1.14 during the July-December 2021 period, according to the income statements.

Meanwhile, the EGX-listed firm generated revenues worth EGP 8.35 billion in H1-22/23, an annual surge from EGP 6.69 billion.

In the first quarter (Q1) of FY22/23, Egypt Aluminum logged net profits worth EGP 642.63 million, higher by 110.80% year-on-year (YoY) than EGP 304.71 million.

The revenues amounted to EGP 3.47 billion in Q1-22/23, up from EGP 3.33 billion during the same period in the previous FY.
