Cairo: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session in green territory on the back of Arab buying.

The benchmark EGX30 index rose 1.85%, finishing the session at 15,580.19 points.

Market capitalisation gained EGP 10.8 billion and closed at EGP 873.6 billion.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index edged up 0.56% to 744.53 points, and the broader EGX100 index added 0.74% to 1,930.12 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index jumped 1.46% to 2,584.03 points.

Trading volume amounted to nearly 166.7 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 818 million through 21,600 transactions.

Arab investors were mostly buyers, netting EGP 9.9 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 7.6 million and EGP 2.3 million, respectively.
