ArabFinance: The standardized Thanaweya Amma final exams will be amended to be electronically administered in the upcoming 2020-2021 school year, the Egyptian education minister Tarek Shawki said at a televised press conference on September 8th.

There will be multiple versions of the exams, similar to the SATs, as opposed to standardized testing sheets for everyone cross-country, Shawki noted.

The tests will be taken on tablets provided by the ministry in examination facilities, the minister highlighted.

He, however, added that those without access to a tablet will be allowed to complete the test on paper and electronically graded.

Preparatory and high school pupils will attend school at least two days a week.
