ArabFinance: The Egyptian Cabinet approved the establishment of two new non-profit universities in New Salhia City and Sharm el Sheikh, according to a September 9th statement.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly also gave the go-ahead to the development of a medical research institute in Assiut, and two new faculties in Fayoum and New Valley universities.

In mid-August, President Abdel Fattah el Sisi president issued a decree to develop four new private non-profit educational facilities. This comes as part of the country's plan to develop universities at EGP 30 billion.

The president called a month later for developing 10 new non-profit universities nationwide.
