DUBAI, 23rd August, 2015 (WAM) -- Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Dubai Culture, has organised a panel discussion with the lead team of the participating theatre groups in the run-up to the ninth edition of the ?Dubai Festival for Youth Theatre?. The discussion was aimed at encouraging creative standards among emerging artists and promoting the heritage of Arab theatre.

The discussion covered topics such as preparing the registration form, presenting it properly and submitting it within the set deadline. It also addressed the importance of participants putting their best efforts into attaining professional standards and spreading a culture of positivity through performing arts. It focused on encouraging young talent to actively participate in the ?Dubai Festival for Youth Theatre,? which aims to be a fundamental platform that supports the brightest youth talent in the country.

The event was attended by representatives from participating groups in the ninth edition of the festival, including Al Ahli Dubai Theatre, Dubai Folklore Theatre, Ras al-Khaimah National Theatre, Khorfakkan Arts Theatre, Modern Theatre, Eyal Zayed Theatre, Baniyas Theatre, Dibba Al Hisn Theatre, and Youth Theatre and Arts.

Yasser Al Gergawi, Acting Projects and Events Director and the Director of Dubai Festival for Youth Theatre, said, "The Dubai Festival for Youth Theatre provides a great platform to promote theatre talent in the UAE. We insisted on organising this discussion panel to activate constructive direct communication with local participants and to equip them with the skills they require to effortlessly and seamlessly present their own productions. This initiative complements Dubai Culture?s goals and vision in promoting emerging talents and enabling them to widen their skillsets to support the theatre sector?s growth in the UAE and the region."The Dubai Festival for Youth Theatre is one of the largest celebrations of theatre in the region. It reflects the commitment of Dubai Culture to strengthen and preserve one of the oldest art forms by providing upcoming talent with a platform to showcase their skills to a wider audience.
