UAE - A food manufacturing factory was shut down in UAE over flouting health rules.

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority has closed 'Taibat Al Emarat Factory' in Al Ain, over health related violations. The factory, which makes date products, holds licence number IN-1001465. It had violated health and food safety standards, as well as not maintaining required hygiene levels.

The above mentioned violation affected the quality of the food products and the health of customers.

According to reports, the establishment was issued multiple violations in 2019.

The authority said that operations at the factory will remain suspended until the facility meets quality standards under UAE laws - after which the factory can resume its production.

It is noteworthy that the establishment were issued three violations - in one year - over insects found in the dates factory.
