UAE - The Dubai Criminal Court has sentenced a famous rapper, who is a GCC national, to six months in prison, for possessing and growing illegal drugs in his house, Emarat Al Youm reported on Sunday.
The well-known singer stood trial before the criminal court, after Dubai Police received information that he was growing cannabis plants — which is illegal in the UAE.
Police also discovered that the singer was in possession of drugs at his accommodation in the Business Bay area.
Other accused in the case include two women and a man, who were also arrested in the rapper's house, where the police found hash and other equipment used for growing drugs.
Finding him guilty, the court sentenced the singer to six months in prison and deportation after serving his sentence.
