KUWAIT CITY: The Ministry of Interior on its twitter account stated that it is prohibited to drive electric scooters and road bicycles on public roads.
The ministry stated that driving unauthorized motorcycles on public roads is a clear violation of the law, which leads to the confinement of the violating vehicle for a period not exceeding two months according to Article 207 of the executive regulations, and also endangers the life of its driver and the rest of the road users.
Driving electric scooters in residential areas has increased recently, many of them drive through busy lanes and pedestrian walking areas in Kuwait.
