KUWAIT CITY: The British Embassy kept the travel advice for its nationals in Kuwait unchanged from March 28, 2019, reflecting a reduced threat to their safety.

Around 8,000 British nationals live in Kuwait and a further 10,000 visit each year; most visits to Kuwait are trouble-free, the embassy noted in a statement on Thursday.

The British government always cares for the safety of its nationals in Kuwait and keeps watch on the developments in the Arabian Gulf region, it affirmed. The statement followed earlier press reports in the United Kingdom that the government advised its nationals in Kuwait and other Gulf countries take care of their safety amid the current security risks in the region.
