The Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Issa Al-Kandari issued Ministerial Resolution number 122 of 2021 canceling Article Two of Ministerial Resolution number 69 of 2020 in order to allow lectures, cultural activities and Quran recitation sessions in mosques, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily obtained a copy of the abovementioned decision, in which the minister stressed the importance of strictly enforcing health regulations like wearing a face mask and social distancing. This is based on the decision of the Council of Ministers during its extraordinary session number 2057/2021 on Oct 20, 2021; ushering the beginning of the return to normal life and implementing the remaining phase of the gradual return to normal life plan. The council took this decision after the health authorities agreed on easing health restrictions in mosques.
