Riyadh – Saudi Minister of Finance and Chairman of the General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) Mohammed Al Jadaan has launched on Wednesday the Zakat and Tax Academy.

The announcement came during the first day of the 2019 Zakat and Tax Conference (ZTC) held in Riyadh on 13-14 November.

The academy aims to develop the skills of the GAZT employees an enhance efficiency in the sector.

Moreover, the minister witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between GAZT and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to cooperate in holding workshops and professional development programs across the region and raising tax awareness.

Another MoU was signed by GAZT with MiSK Academy, which follows the Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Foundation (Misk), to cooperating in providing programmes in technology and creative digital media practices, as well as developing leadership skills and capacities.
