Finance Minister Sihem Nemsia had a meeting on Tuesday with African Trade Insurance Agency (ATI) CEO Manuel Moses, during which the latter affirmed the ATI's willingness to provide a financial support to Tunisia and to facilitate the procedures to join it.

Leading an ATI delegation on a visit to Tunisia, Moses outlined the mechanisms and programmes that the agency offers to member countries on preferential terms.

Nemsia for her part pointed out the financial and economic challenges the country is faced with, underlining the need to support Tunisia's membership in the ATI, so it can benefit from the guarantees and facilities offered by this structure to financial institutions.

Launched in 2001, the ATI is a pan-African institution that provides political risk insurance to companies, investors and lenders interested in doing business in Africa.
