AMMAN — Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association Spokesperson Nabih Riyal on Tuesday revealed that tourist reservations to Jordan “exceeded expectations” during March and April, increasing by 40 per cent when compared with the same period in 2022, Al Mamlaka reported. Riyal said that there is a significant improvement in the demand for tourism to Jordan during the current season.

Tourist reservations to Jordan during the coming months of September, October and November increased by 25 per cent, in comparison to the same period in 2022, he added.

Reservations during the current season "significantly exceeded" figures recorded in 2019, prior to the spread of the coronavirus, Riyal stated, highlighting the challenges facing the sector, most notably lack of tourist buses and tour guides.
