KUWAIT - Kuwait Supreme Council for Planning and Development approved Wednesday a set of reports dealing with state budget, health care, reforming the government sector's management as well as structure of the population.
 
Minister of Social Affairs and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Maryam Al-Aqeel, in a statement after the meeting, said the council memebers referred all reports to the Council of Ministers.
 
She added the council members, meeting virtually under chairmanship of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, also referred to the government follow-up reports of the third quarter of 2019-20 as well as the annual follow up report of the 2019-20 plan.
 
The members, said Al-Aqeel, discussed the development and reforms of the government sector's management as a key component in the 2035
New Kuwait Vision.
 
She said His Highness the Prime Minister thanked the council members for their contributions to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, and underlined important role of the council in pushing forward the development process and following up execution of mega development projects.
