AMMAN — Director of Public Security Directorate, Major Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh and Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Chen Chuandong on Wednesday discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries' public security agencies in the fields of security and police, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Hawatmeh underlined the importance of the continuous cooperation between the security agencies in the two countries, especially in the field of training and expertise exchange, stressing the need to open new prospects for collaboration to achieve the "best security and police performance".

The Chinese envoy, for his part, lauded the PSD's "advanced" status at the regional and international levels, pointing to its "remarkable" development, which enabled it to meet all security needs and address challenges.

The diplomat stressed the Chinese government's keenness to enhance cooperation with the PSD in various fields and “open new horizons” in this regard, in a way that serves common interests.
