AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah has received cables from leaders of Arab, Muslim, and friendly countries on Jordan’s 75th Independence Day, which falls on May 25.

King Abdullah also received cables from senior officials and officers, as well as representatives of civil society organisations, who all noted that the occasion this year coincides with the centennial of the state, highlighting the country’s achievements and advancements throughout its history.

They commended His Majesty’s efforts in leading Jordan towards further development, noting his key role in defending Arab and Muslim causes, and safeguarding Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, in line with the Hashemite Custodianship.

HRH Crown Prince Hussein received similar cables, according to a Royal Court statement.
