LONDON — Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud Bin Naif and British Home Secretary Suella Braverman discussed ways to further enhance joint security cooperation during their official talks held here on Tuesday.

The two countries also signed several agreements for the cooperation in the security, development and training fields on the sidelines of the visit of Prince Abdulaziz to Britain.

At the outset of the meeting, the Saudi minister thanked his British counterpart for hosting the meeting, saying that this reflects the common desire to strengthen the strategic and historical relations between the two friendly countries.

Prince Abdulaziz affirmed that the Saudi government values and appreciates the existing bilateral security cooperation, noting that there has been continuous security coordination between interior ministries of both countries.

During the meeting, the ministers discussed ways to enhance and develop tracks of joint security cooperation. The two sides also praised the level of strategic partnership between the two ministries and the positive results achieved during the past period.

The session also witnessed the signing of several agreements in the security, development and training fields between the ministries of interior in Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.

The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to UK Prince Khaled Bin Bandar Bin Sultan, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior Dr. Hisham Al-Faleh, and a number of officials from the Ministry of Interior.

On the British side, the meeting was attended by a number of senior officials from the Ministry of Interior and the UK Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Neil Crompton.
