KUWAIT -- Jazeera Airways announced Thursday the launch of two new destinations in India, namely Goa and Madurai, via King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, starting April 15.
Jazeera Airways Chief Executive Officer Barathan Pasupathi told KUNA that flights to and from Goa will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays beginning April 15, while flights to and from Madurai will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays starting April 16.
Pasupathi added that the launch of flights to Goa and Madurai marks a new step in expanding Jazeera Airways' network in India, within the framework of the "Vande Bharat" initiative, which constitutes a key pillar of the company's operations under the current circumstances.
He explained that the new routes will be operated in a manner ensuring continuity of travel and cargo movement despite operational challenges, noting the integrated air and land corridor provides reliable efficient alternative for passengers and essential shipments to Kuwait.
Moreover, Pasupathi pointed out that Jazeera Airways operations reflect demand levels and commitment to maintaining vital connectivity by enhancing air links in India compared to pre-crisis levels, highlighting importance of enabling travel during this current stage.
He then affirmed that the company continues strengthening its role in connecting communities, facilitating workforce mobility, and supporting trade and cargo flows between both countries, noting India remains a key strategic market supported by expatriates and bilateral ties.
He added that Jazeera Airways continues expanding its network under complex evolving operational conditions, stressing focus on providing reliable affordable services while ensuring continuity of movement for individuals, communities, and maintaining all vital international connections.
