TUNIS (TAP) - Reviewing the activities of Gafsa-based Yazaki group and the impact of the regional situation on the company's production unit were the major themes of the meeting held on Wednesday in Tunis.

This meeting was attended by Industry and Technology Minister Abdelaziz Rassaa, Regional Development Minister Abderrazak Zouari and a delegation from Yazaki group. It was co-chaired by the group's Director-General Zafer Uran Zaman and Director-General of Yazaki in Tunis Philippe Sclinger.

According to a communiqué released on Wednesday by the Industry and Technology Ministry, the meeting allowed to discuss development of Yazaki company' activities and ways to consolidate exports of the group, which is specialised in manufacturing of automobile cables.

It is worth mentioning that Yazaki has several partners all over the world. It employs about 2,200 Tunisian workers shared out among five production units, three units in Gafsa, one in Om Laarayés and another in Métlaoui.
