Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi yesterday received Attorney General and Arab Public Prosecutions Association Secretary General Dr Ali bin Fadhel Al Bouainain and members and participants who took part in the international conference on combating transnational crimes.

President Al Sisi patronised the conference, which was organised by the Egyptian Public Prosecution in co-operation with the International Organisation for Migration, the Counter-Terrorism Project in the Middle East and North Africa and the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.Dr Al Bouainain chaired the first session, which focused on the international and regional framework for combating transnational crime and mechanisms for judicial co-operation, in light of UN covenants and Arab, African and European conventions.

An agreement was signed between the Arab and African Public Prosecutions Associations to develop advocates’ competences, exchange expertise and bolster international judicial co-operation.The deal was signed by Dr Al Bouainain, who was re-elected for a second term as secretary general of the Arab association.
