MUSCAT: The switchgear plant of Voltamp Energy has enhanced its production capacity by adding a new manufacturing bay and offices adjacent to its existing building at Rusayl, with an investment of RO400,000.
The new facility was inaugurated Qais Al Yousef, the chairman of Voltamp Energy, last week.
As a result of this expansion, the production capacity of the state-of-the-art switchgear plant is expected to go up by about 50 per cent. With the increased production capacities, Voltamp will be well placed to service increasing demands of a larger number of customers in the oil & gas, infrastructure, industry and utility sectors.
Voltamp's switchgear products and services are preferred and approved by all major ministries and consultants in the Sultanate.
It has in its product basket a wide variety of control and distribution panels made to world-class standards. It has, in the recent past, designed, manufactured and installed a large number of intelligent motor control centres (MCCs) for the oil & gas sector.
Voltamp Energy's switchgear business has been growing steadily between 20 to 25 per cent every year for the past several years, thereby increasing its customer base at a steady rate.
According to Pronab Chakraborty, AGM and head of the Switchgear SBU, the healthy growth in top and bottom lines of the organisation is a clear indicator of the customers' continued faith in quality and reliability of Voltamp's products and services.
Quality management
This growth also endorses Voltamp's unrelenting focus on its Quality Management Systems in an environment of health and safety as embedded in Voltamp's Quality and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies. Voltamp Energy is a Bureau Veritas certified ISO 9001:2008 company.
