Ajman, Sept. 28th, 2010 (WAM) -- The United Arab Emirates has made a great achievement by winning three seats out of 20 in the Board of Directors of the Association of Real Estate License Law Officials (ARELLO).

RERA chief, Engineer Marwan Bin Ghalita, ARRA Director General Omar Al Barguthi and RERA business development Manager, RERA business development Senior Director, Mahmoud El Borai are the elected members of ARELLO board.

The country has also made another achievement by becoming the head of District -7 presidency which includes North Africa and the Middle East and the GCC.

The results came in the elections that have taken place on the sidelines of the annual ARELLO conference held 15-18 September in the state of Alaska, USA, with the presence of a large number of international real estate regulators, agencies and institutions. The four-day conference discussed a number of topics covering all aspects of real estate along with other issues related to the global economic crisis and ways to surmount recession in the real estate sector.

Real estate regulations, legislation and laws and means to keep pace with the latest developments in real estate were among the issues talked about in the gathering where Dubai and Ajman represented the UAE.

In the conference, Omar Al Barguthi, Director General of Ajman Real Estate Regulatory Agency gave a presentation about the real estate sector in the United Arab Emirates, the role of the UAEs leadership and the countrys achievements and economy.

Al Barguthi said: "UAEs wise leadership, vision and the cohesion between the people of United Arab Emirates and its leadership as well as the countrys strong economy are the main reasons behind the countrys growth and progress, particularly after the UAEs decisive decision to diversify its income instead of depending upon oil exports. This includes several sectors such as tourism, industry, trade, export and re-exports. Now the UAE holds a leading position on the developed countries map" Commenting on the achievements, Sultan Butti Bin Mijrin, Director General of Dubai Land Department (DLD) said: "I am proud and delighted for the success that we have achieved. Such achievement was not a surprise to me, but came in line with the expectations that confirm the efforts being exerted by DLD on the local, regional and international levels. It is an inevitable result and a coronation of the teamwork efforts ".

He added: "We will spare no effort to maintain such achievements and successes and preserve the gains accomplished by DLD during the past years in order to attain the vision of the leadership of the UAE and the aspirations of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to strengthen UAEs position on the world map"For his part, Al Barguthi said, "The most important thing that has been achieved through the conference is that the UAE is still and will remain the focus of the worlds attention and trust. UAEs victory in the elections and winning the presidency of District -7 is just a translation of that faith. On this occasion, I extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to the leadership of UAE for the strenuous efforts exerted in all areas and at all levels. We felt proud and delighted as we raised the flag of the UAE at (geographically) the farthest point of the world."
