Dubai: Retail chain, Al Maya Group, is keen to expand its products portfolio from Thailand, according to Al Maya Group’s Director, Kamal Vachani. He said this during a visit of Consul General of Royal Thai Consulate, Dubai Thosaporn Moonlasartsathorn, along with Thidarat Saenjai, Consul in Royal Thai Consulate, Dubai, to the Group’s Supermarket at Murooj Complex in Dubai, earlier this week.

The winner of Superbrand status for 2013, Al Maya operates more than 35 supermarkets in the UAE and Oman. Plans are afoot to open more supermarkets in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other emirates, according to Vachani. Moonlasartsathorn discussed enhancing the business relations through Thailand companies, Al Maya stated, adding that Vachani assured the group will continue to promote Thailand products through its supermarkets.
