Sharjah, 31st Jan. 2012 (WAM) -- H. H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah has issued emiri decree no 8 of 2012establishing the Sharjah Health Insurance Authority (SHIA).
According to the decree, SHIA enjoys a corporate body status, financial and administrative autonomy and full legal capacity to carry out its duties and activities to achieve its objectivesThe decree regulates powers and functions of the new health insurance bodywhich will join hands with other stakeholders in the emirate to adopt best practicesin the industry.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2012.
