Sonatrach CEO Mohamed Meziane and four senior company executives, including Meziane's two sons, were denied bond by an Algerian appellate court on Sunday (February 14th), Tout sur l'Algerie reported. Defence attorneys had sought their release on bail pending adjudication of the case. The state-run energy company officials have been detained since January as the judicial investigation into alleged corruption, bribery and criminal conspiracy charges continues.
