MUSCAT -- The Sultanate's leading pipe manufacturer, TMK Gulf International Pipe Industry (TMK GIPI) LLC, part of global pipe manufacturer TMK, was recently awarded a contract from Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) for the supply of 18,400MT of OCTG (threaded and coupled casing pipes).
TMK GIPI is the only manufacturer of 8" to 24" diameter high pressure OCTG casing pipes in Oman and will shortly commence delivery of this order. TMK GIPI produces a wide range of ERW casing pipes conforming to API 5CT latest specifications.
Laboratory tests and thread inspection process fully comply with all related standardised specifications as well as major oil & gas industry requirements. Threading is performed using computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines and coupling buck-on process done with automated power tight machine. These high strength casing pipes are used in well operations for oil development and drilling projects by PDO, the pipe maker said in a statement.

TMK Gulf International Pipe Industry (TMK GIPI) was established as a Limited Liability Company in Oman in January 2007. TMK GIPI is the first manufacturer of high pressure steel line pipes and casing pipes in Oman and the first mill in MENA region and subcontinent of India to manufacture high pressure 24" electric resistance welded (ERW) steel pipes.
