Abu Dhabi, Nov 13th, 2011 (WAM) -- Mother of Emirates HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak announced today the launch of the Abu Dhabi Award for Arab Children and Arab Children's Network.
The announcement was made during a speech by Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation, Chairperson of General Women's Union and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood. The speech was delivered on behalf of Sheikha Fatima by the Minister of State For FNC Affairs Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash at the opening of the 31st International Arab Children's Congress currently underway at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. The Arab Children's Network is envisaged to be a database, through which children and youth will be able to communicate with their kith and kin, exchange information, establish social and humanitarian bonds among them, inculcate understanding about belongingness and integration between the Arab culture and other human civilisations and strengthen values of sustainable development in all its meanings. The congress is organised under the patronage and in the presence of Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak and is headed by Queen Noor Al Hussein, Founder and Chairwoman of Board of Trustees of King Hussein Foundation in the Kingdom of Jordan.
