Abu Dhabi, 7th Nov. 2009 (WAM) -- The Zayed Higher Foundation for Humanitarian Care, Special Needs and Minor Affairs launched yesterday the second edition of the national project for inclusion of persons with special needs 2010 in Abu Dhabi.
The drive was launched under the theme : ''Our life is in our inclusion'', and under the patronage of Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak who said the launch of the second cycle of the national initiative underlines the importance of preparingthe community and family to welcome ''our beloved children of special needs'',positively under a clear framework engaging the family, school, community and specialised agencies. In her address on the occasion which read on her behalf by Mariyam Al Rumaithi, Director General of the Family Development Foundation, Sheikha Fatima appealed to the all segments of the community to deliver services and support to members of this group as their health, psychological and social conditions may require. Sheikha fatima also called for stakeholders to enhance constructive partnerships with the Zayed Foundation to enable it deliver its noble message. Mohammed Al Hamli, Secretary General of the Zayed Foundation, termed the drive as a step in the right direction for making ''our sons and daughters of this group'' happy. ''We want to confirm to them that they are part and parcel of our life and they are active members in the community and their aspirations and dreams for inclusion will be realised,''he added.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2009.
