Abu Dhabi Sharjah and Dubai made a first-round exit in the President’s Cup football which kicked off on Monday evening.
Sharjah, the team which enjoyed the most success in winning the President’s Cup eight times, were knocked out by Masafi, a club playing in the First Division B league.
The two teams shared two first-half goals during full time and in the tie-breaker, Masafi sent the UAE Pro-League campaigners packing with a 3-2 tie-breaker win.
Dibba Al Hisn conceded a first-half goal, but came back to score twice in the second half and end the hopes of Dubai, another UAE Pro-League club.
