DOHA: After a series of relaunches of new-look Qtel shops in the past few days, now come the Qtel Mobile Shops that will reach every neighbourhood community in the city.
As the latest innovation introduced by Qtel's aggressive consumer service drive, the Qtel Mobile Shops started hitting the streets yesterday to bring the "all-in-one" services closer to the people by reaching out right near the doorsteps of
their homes. Waleed Al Sayed, Executive Director of Qtel's Customer Services, opened the new Mobile Shop with Adel Al Mutawa, Executive Director of Qtel's Group Communications, during a fitting unveiling event at the Qtel Towers yesterday.
The Mobile Shops are equipped with the latest technology, and staffed by some of Qtel's leading customer service experts. Qtel Mobile Shops will enable people to upgrade their services near their homes.
In particular, the Qtel Mobile Shop is set to target areas where there are currently no fixed retail outlets, so that everyone can benefit from the operator's services.
The company is planning a fleet of mobile shops to ensure that everyone can benefit from the latest technology. The Qtel Mobile Shop will provide customers with the opportunity to pay bills and purchase top-ups for Hala and Broadband services. Other services available from the Qtel Mobile Shops include Hala and Shahry connections, mobile Broadband and fixed line connections and a display of latest mobile handset brands and its accessories. Al Sayed said the new Mobile Shop is part of the company's anticipation of a growing demand of services as hundreds of thousands of business visitors and tourists are expected in the coming years. "The opening of mobile shops is part of our strategy to provide the best services to our customers."
Al Mutawa said the mobile shops will be present at major conventions, festivals and sporting activities, so that visitors and guests in Qatar can easily get mobile and Broadband access without needing to leave their venue. Already, the mobile shops will cater thousands of spectators who will watch the games at the Asian Football Confederation to be held in Doha next month. Later in the day, Al Sayed opened the newly refurbished Qtel store at Al Sadd.
The 400-square-metre Al Sadd branch is Qtel's first Customer Care Centre and the largest Shop to date. The new Qtel Shop offers visitors more than ever before, with dedicated customer support zones for specific Qtel services.
