DOHA: Jasim bin Mohammed Al Kubaisi, Director of Zakat Fund Department under the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs inaugurated the 20th branch of Zakat Fund at Al Wakra City, near the Al Meera mall.
Also present in the inauguration ceremony of the branch were Abdur Rahan bin Abdul Jalil, Executive Director of Abdullah Abdul Ghani Company and some other senior staff of the Fund.
"This new branch has been opened intending to server the people living in the area. And the office is linked with the headquarter of the Zakat Fund and also equipped with all the contemporary facilities of communication like telephone and Internet", said Al Kubaisi.
"The opening of Al Wakra office is part of the Fund's objective under which it is intending to connect all the people living across the country. The place which has more population will also be provided with new braches in the days to come", he added.
He praised to the management of the Al Meera group for extending their support and help towards the Zakat Fund in opening the branch.
