DOHA: The tenth edition of International Furniture and Design Exhibition and Awards (INFDEX 2011) will host over hundred companies form thirteen countries creating a platform to exhibit their services and products.

The four-day event will run jointly by Qatar Expo Event Management in partnership with Messe Frankfurt, the largest global exhibition management group at the Doha Exhibition Center.

Beginning on October 5, INFDEX 2011 will be a platform for local and international companies to showcase their goods, services, and creativity, with products related to furniture and interior design, lighting, fabrics, textiles, and architecture to be exhibited.

"We are delighted at the participation this year," said Georges Saliba, Chief Operating Officer at Qatar Expo, said yesterday at a press conference held at the W hotel.  With a large participation of companies the organisers also assure that INFDEX 2011 will be more enhanced than the previous years.

"In addition to the involvement of numerous local firms, we are pleased that over 100 companies from thirteen countries will be participating. I can confidently say that INFDEX 2011 will be the best one yet," Saliba said.

"INFDEX 2011 will open its doors on October 5 and we invite members of the public, the media, and design and furniture industrialists to visit the exhibition. They will be pleasantly surprised," he said. A total of six companies have signed up to support this year's event as sponsors beside the local and international companies that will participate in the exhibition.

"Sponsorship is the pillar of support upon which events can be made or broken. And thanks to the seven main sponsors of INFDEX, this year's event will be like no other in the past," said Saliba.

The sponsors for the tenth INFDEX will be Colortek (Premiere Sponsor), Istikbal (Supporting Sponsor), Al-Misned Trading and Joinery (Presenting Sponsor), Azadea (Support Sponsor), Al Aqili Furnishings (Premium Sponsor), SKAFF Group (Support Sponsor) and the International Group for Design and Furniture.
