Doha - Drive into Doha's business district 15 from the airport and the most prominent of buildings is the Ezdan Hotel and Suites. Comprising four tower blocks, Ezdan, is set to be the place to stay when on business in Qatar, three of the blocks are serviced apartments made up of 1,500 units of Studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, whilst the 4th block is a 585 room and suites 4 star hotel. Joseph Karam, heads this gigantic property.
Karam said that Sheikh Thani bin Abdulla Al Thani, owner and Chairman, has made a substantial investment in creating the Ezdan Management Company to oversee the revamping and upgrading of the hotel and suites and to run the day to day management of the complex.
The management company has been formed with a team of hospitality professionals from different parts of the world who have worked with some of the world's renowned hotel brands like Sheraton, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Hyatt, Shangri-la, Jumeirah, Rotana etc. Karam added that they intend to build Ezdan as a strong brand in the hospitality and lodging industry in Qatar and GCC.
The 1st tower is a success story and it is currently running with an impressive 100 per cent occupancy and Tower 2 is set to open its doors by mid September with an already confirmed occupancy of 30 per cent. An artist's impression of the four-star hotel.

The Ezdan Hotel will be a business hotel which will open mid 2008, with F&B facilities, such as the Graffeo Restaurant, a place to have that relaxing freshly brewed coffee, delicious pasteries and sandwiches, an all day dining restaurant offering 24 hour buffet, a Pool Restaurant and the West Bay Executive Lounge situated on the 37th floor, offering light snacks and a spectacular panoramic view across the West Bay. In addition to the F&B outlets, fully equipped purpose designed meeting rooms and business centre will be available, as well as a Spa and Fitness club and Gymnasium, and a Kids club will also be at the guests disposal.
At present Ezdan have signed up for the management of a massive residential complex in Wakrah comprising more than 158 villas and 600 2-bedroom apartments. This will be a high end serviced residential compound with truly excellent services. The residents of this complex would enjoy 24-hour room service, high end club house and sports facilities, restaurants, convenient stores and many other additional features that would be the first of their kind in Doha.
