The Petrochemicals Industries Company (PIC) said that it managed to renew the two ISO certificates of quality and environment, namely ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 following its completion of an ideal session "devoid of errors and remarks" since the latest renewal of them three years ago.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of the PIC Maha Mulla Hussein told KUNA that the company managed to update the ISO certificates of 9001 and 2000 and turn them into the revised edition 2008 along with including the company's club, better known as "Bobyan club", into the new certificate.

She went on to say that this renewal came after a technical team approved by the world Lyods Register company conducted a five-day overall checkup of all procedures applied by the company. The team came out with the results that the company's procedures go in line with all required criteria in what allowed for renewing the two certificates without listing any negative remarks.

Maha expressed in the end her happiness for the company's getting of these two certificates and voiced the company's resolve to go ahead with further development of the company's plants and facilities in what achieves the highest degrees of distinctive performance along with protecting environment and safety. Finally, the PIC's CEO pointed out some significant projects carried out recently by the company in what helps protect the environment like the project of preventing the ammonia leakages and the project of replacing the line of exporting the liquid ammonia at a total cost of KD 12 millions.
