What is the Dubai Expo 2020 Theme Symposium?
A Theme Symposium has been held by each of the candidate cities. Dubai and the UAE is the last Theme Symposium to be held.
The Dubai Expo 2020 Theme Symposiums is entitled: Connecting Minds, Creating the Future: Partnerships for Global Innovation and Sustainable Development and starts on Tuesday, October 22nd-24th.
The objective of the Theme Symposium is to discuss the importance and global relevance of the proposed Dubai Expo 2020 theme: Connecting Minds, Creating the Future, and its subthemes of Mobility, Sustainability and Opportunity.
The delegates will also have an opportunity to explore the country and the city, to witness the public support for the bid and to assess the UAE’s ability to deliver a World Expo.
Just one month ahead of the final vote to elect the host city on 27th November, the Theme Symposium is a major milestone in the UAE’s bid to host the World Expo 2020 in Dubai.
The agenda?
The Theme Symposium will contain conference sessions on the theme and the UAE, city tours and entertainment.
The mornings of the 22nd and 23rd will be dedicated to conference sessions with local and international keynote speakers discussing the Dubai Expo 2020 theme.
In the afternoons the delegates will explore the UAE and experience the sub-themes in action through ‘Learning Journeys’.
The evenings will feature an official Gala Dinner and a closing event in the desert.
