DAMASCUS - Head of the National Reconciliation Committee at the People's Assembly, Omar Oussi, said that the committee is working to follow up on the arrested persons and settling the situation of the persons who were involved in the crisis as to rehabilitate them and allow them to participate in the political process.
The remarks came during the meeting of the committee with representatives of al-Shaghour, al-Sina'a, al-Zuhour, Bilal, al-Qazzaz, al-Zahira, Ibn Asaker and Bustan al-Dur in Damascus on Monday.
Oussi pointed out to the efforts exerted by the committee, adding that the committee has a work schedule to meet all spectrum of the Syrian society and listen to their views and suggestions.
"The committee is also following up on the government's work to improve the living standards of the citizens through providing basic needs, taking measures to monitor prices and correcting wrong policies," he said.
For their part, the citizens hoped that these meetings will contribute to solving lots of issues and problems, calling to settle the issue of the arrested persons and respond to the demands of the locals.
Earlier, the committee met representatives of the neighborhoods of Rukn Eddin, al-Salhyeh and Wadi al-Masharee' in Damascus and its countryside.
