Prime Minister Mohammed Naji Otri opened on Thursday in Aleppo the 50th session of The Agricultural and Industrial Production Market (AIPM) with the participation of 161 companies in 195 pavilions in addition to a special pavillion for Turkey.
Otri said during the opening ceremony that the AIPM is one of the most important economic activities that show the great industrial and agricultural development in Syria.
He stressed that Syria is rich with its potentials and resources, pointing out that the source of its richness is its national unity and the people's commitment to the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.
Otri referred to the remarkable leap in fields of construction and the positive results in increasing GDP and increasing the participation of the private sector in productionthat Syria has achieved under the leadership of President al-Assad.
The Prime Minister said, "What has been achieved urges us to feel assured that we are going ahead in the right direction on the way of construction and economic reform".
He said the government is working to encourage export process and provide its requirements to enhance the capacity of the Syrian product to compete in foreign markets, calling on exporters to maintain the reputation of the Syrian goods.
The market contains a variety of traditional products such as soap, perfumes, sweets, clothes, home appliances, construction requirements, as processing, textile and engineering industries.
