DOHA: The Public Transport Company (Mowasalat) has raised the charges of its limousine service at the Doha International Airport. However, fares of the airport taxi service remain the same.
The limousine fares now start from QR25 instead of the previous QR15. The starting fare for the taxis remains to be QR10, Mowasalat marketing manager Ahmed Al Ansari said.
The hike was prompted by a steep rise in the airport parking fees, Ansari said.
Currently there are 200 limousines and 100 taxis operating from the airport. The number of taxis will soon be increased to 150, the official said.
He said no exact figures were available with the company on the number of people using its Karwa taxi service.
